Job Description:

Senior SDWAN network engineer and SME with a minimum of 5 years of experience with SDWAN design and recommending engineering changes. Responsible for continuous service improvement of this environment, both in terms of performance for the end-users, and reduction in the cost of support via automation.

Required Skills:

1. Current experience in SDWAN design and engineering principles.
2. Understanding of WAN Technologies – MPLS-E, MetroE, Leased Line, Broadband, Direct Internet Access (DIA), LTE.
3. Experience in a large enterprise environment designing and engineering solutions for several thousand network resources.

Responsibilities:

1. Hands on experience with PaloAlto Prisma/Cloudgenix iON3K, iON9K or at least one of the leading SDWAN solutions providers (Cisco, Versa, Fortinet, Citrix, etc.) doing solution design and engineering.
2. Experience in troubleshooting of complex network outages to aid our network operations teams as needed in the edge access network domain SDWAN/switch/router and its dependent systems.
3. Automation software skills in support of network automation such as Ansible orchestration, Data modeling – YAML and JSON, Scripting – Python.
4. Tunneling protocols – SSL/TLS, IPDESC, GRE, DMVPN.
5. IP Routing – BGP, OSPF, NAT, Static.
6. Network Security – IPS/IDS, Zone Based Firewalls, Policy Based Routing.
7. Intermediate familiarity with Splunk.
8. Rich experience of QOS/MPLS, BGP, L3VPN/L2VPN, IGP, SD-WAN, NetConf, NMS & OSS/BSS protocols.
9. Should have profound knowledge of network planning or optimization theory and good communication ability.
10. Experience in SDN/NFV, SDWAN (Viptela is must and Velocloud / Versa is desirable)
11. Demonstrated experience with LAN/WAN, routing protocols, QoS, troubleshooting, and scripting
12. Industrial certifications in Cisco, Juniper, F5/Riverbed/Fortigate/Palo Alto products/technologies is desirable
13. Demonstration of CCNP/CCNP SP (CCIP)/CCIE level (or higher) knowledge (or vendor alternatives) is must (required or comparable level)
14. Strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications:

1. BS in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics/Software Engineering or Information Technology.
2. Atleast five years of experience in related field.
3. Automation experience a must
4. 2+ years Node JS developer
5. Understanding of the software development life-cycle is a must.
6. Exposure to CI/CD tools and processes is a must.
7. Aptitude to multi-task in dynamic environment
8. Experience with public AWS, Azure and Google cloud
9. Experience with private cloud platforms such as VMWare and Openstack
10. Experience with moving workloads between private and public clouds,
11. Proficiency with Python/Perl/TCL
