Job Description:


The Senior Network Engineer will work closely with other engineers, service providers, application owners & internal teams. The selected individual will partner with key technology and business representatives, to quickly isolate and resolve issues, providing the corrective action feedback to continuously optimize the company’s infrastructure. Additionally, the position will require technical leadership to drive issues to resolution and optimization of the existing environment, along with technical oversight regarding growth and supportability. Candidate will also be responsible for engineering through operational support of the network equipment in the data center and should have experience with configurations and troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

  1. 6+ years of experience in the implementation and administration of complex, multi-location, multi-vendor, converged voice/data networks in a geographically distributed environment.
  2. Hands-on experience in administering Cisco routers & switches.
  3. CCNP certified (CCIE preferred).
  4. Good understanding of network principles and the OSI model.
  5. Experience managing networks, internal and external DNS, and the associated IP infrastructure.
  6. Experience working in a Data Center
  7. Experience administering and configuring monitoring tools for proactive alerting and trends analysis.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design & develop software programs, solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions.
  2. Direct the design and development of network or application software, and complete models and simulations, using manual or automated tools, to analyze or predict system performance under different operating conditions.
  3. Providing network administration and support to a campus-wide area network infrastructure and act as customer liaison with customer’s central IT network core infrastructure.
  4. Hands on experience in Enterprise Data Center for atleast 6+ years
  5. Hands on experience with the ACI Policy orchestration including switch policies, interface policies, ANP, AEPs, Virtual, Bridge Domains, EPG, Contracts, subjects and filters
  6. Expert knowledge of Cisco Nexus 7K,5K,2k environment in the Data Center
  7. Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies
  8. Expert-level experience with routing protocols BGP, EIGRP and OSPF
  9. Working knowledge and experience with Cisco EVPN VXLAN and Cisco DCNM
  10. Conceptual Firewall, Load-Balancing, Routing & Switch knowledge
  11. Expert Working knowledge of IGMP, PIM and multicast routing
  12. Programming / Scripting background with knowledge of Python, REST API and Ansible
  13. Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum, experience adopting or leading continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts and frameworks.

Qualifications:

  1. BS in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics/Software Engineering or Information Technology.
  2. Atleast five years of experience in related field.
  3. Cisco certification desired but not required with demonstrated experience Five to eight years of experience in a similar hands-on engineering role working with:
  4. Designing, troubleshooting and maintaining Cisco Meraki routers, firewalls, layer 2 / layer 3 switches, wireless access points and VPN.
  5. Wireless layout and channel optimization, Meraki Advanced Security, QoS prioritization, Traffic shaping, HA/Failover, BGP

Network security access control systems with IPS, Anti-Malware, Anti-virus, URL filtering, Web Proxy, DDOS mitigation etc.
